Belhus Park - Group Exercise

 

Our studio programme across our three clubs in Thurrock has been designed specificially to cater for the needs of all levels and abilities, at times that will suit you, offering an exciting range of classes that will improve overall cardio-vascular fitness, tone up muscle and burn up surplus fat.

With over 120 studio-based classes available Monday - Sunday including aerobics, step, yoga, pilates, fighting fit and everything inbetween, to water-based aqua aerobics which strengthen muscles while relieving pressure on the legs.

Our Aerobic Instructors are all capable of tailoring their classes should you feel you might not be of advanced skills, but would like to try out the classes - just speak to an instructor before the class starts to make them aware.

Every 3 months we revise our programme adding new and exciting classes.  This quarter, check out the new Zumba classes at Corringham, iDance at Blackshots and Corringham or X Biking at Belhus Park.
 
Class Descriptions

Calm                                                                                                                                                                               
This mind and body experience will lengthen and strengthen the whole body while relaxing and destressing the mind.

Tone/Sculpt                                                                                                                                                                   
A muscular strength and endurance workout to tone the body. These may use equipment such as weights, bars, tubing or stability balls.
Cardio                                                                                                                                                                            
Low, high or mixed impact moves, maximising fat burning and improving cardiovascular fitness. This may include a step platform.
Mixed                                                                                                                                                                             
These classes incorporate a mix of both cardio and strength exercises, brilliant for those who want an all round workout! 
Dance                                                                                                                                                                             
Choreographed workouts that will help you learn moves to various styles of music.
Aqua                                                                                                                                                                               
Refreshing minimal impact and energetic workouts. Utilising body buoyancy and resistance of the water to improve fitness, muscle strength and tone. Suitable for swimmers and non-swimmers.
Mature Movers                                                                                                                                                            
Classes specifically designed for the more senior members.
Martial Arts Based                                                                                                                                                       
An alternative exercise method incorporating martial art based aerobic moves, focus mitts and kick pads.
Specialists                                                                                                                                                                    
• Urban Rebounding: This programme is a safe, effective style of aerobics. It provides a surprisingly challenging cardiovascular workout without excess stress on the heart, muscles and joints.
• Flexie Bar: A fantastic tool for training the deep core muscles of the abdomen and back. Uses the pro-flex bar to

train for strength and endurance or to just improve general fitness levels.
 

 

Important Notes

With Platinum and Country memberships, all fitness classes (exclusive of those marked by an asterisk) are free of charge.
No admittance will be allowed to any class 5 minutes after it has started, due to health and safety reasons.
Classes are for adults (16yrs+) unless specified.
If you suffer from a medical condition, please seek medical advice
before participating. 

Booking Policy:

Platinum & Country members - 8 days advance booking.
Standard members - 7 days advance booking.
Non members - places may only be booked by payment in person. They will be allocated on a "first come, first served" basis.


Cancellation of Bookings:
We operate a 24 hour cancellation notice policy.
Please would you advise the centre if you will not be attending so as to free up your space.
If no notice or late cancellation notice is received, standard members will be charged for the class. Platinum / Country members, after the 3rd late or no cancellation has occurred, you will be unable to book classes in advance for 3 months.


Please check with your local club before setting off for a class.
